Fun Fun Day Today!!
first week of school..but still have to slack!! wanted to watch Pirates of the Carribean with Harj today..we were so confident we could get the 4pm movie @ Cineleisure since it has been about a month since the show has been showing in the cinemas..we took our own sweet time from PP to Orchard..
reaching Orchard..we were SHOCKED..e timing was in RED!! i was like "aiyah..i think they make a mistake..shldnt have anyone watching tdy right..it's a wednesday, plus the show has been showing for such a long time!!" so we confidently went to ask the counter for the 4pm show and it was SOLD OUT..wat the..theres like only 3 shows tdy..one in the morning, one at 4pm and one at 9pm..gosh..ended up watching Fantastic 4 with Harj instead..

went to shop for Jac's bday present..ended up buying her a very big dog..so sweet..den we bought a card..and we recieved a msg from Jac saying she would be going to Paragon to eat..hmm..prob we were kind of lazy so were wanted to "stalk" her and den give her the pres..well..things didnt turn out as smooth as we expected..she changed to GlassHouse..and we ended up following..we sat at the other corner of GH and ordered the pizza and Jungle Freeze..

it was pretty exciting..we wanted to surprise her with a bday rap..hehe..pity GH's bday rap was the old one and all the staff had totally no joy in them doing bday rap..PP rulez~!!

First day of school today..hasnt been an hour and i'm almost aslp..all the late nights last week has changed my body clock..
came back from China..first day was staff party..didnt feel like going initially coz one week and i feel quite out of place at work..coz fishy is on going everyday..so one week really makes a lot of difference.. lunch brought bro to fishy to have lunch...we shared a Treat for 1 and we were too full to have dessert..went a shop to look at dresses and manage to find a dress that was up to the theme of staff party!! wanted to ask harj for opinion but she didnt pick up her phone..lucky Jac was around to give me opinions..hee..bought a large white hairband to go with the retro look..eee..i'll nvr use such a big hair band any other time!! work was a drag..was praying for 9pm to faster come..hehe..went to change and i realised i forgot to bring my belt!! gosh..had to call dad to send it to me..so paiseh..michelle and vivien came earlier and they suggested that i shld put up some make-up..erm..i'm not exactly a make-up person..so i sat there while they be make-up artists..hehe.. this yr staff party quite sian..the only interesting thing was that i actually won the 4th prize for the lucky draw!! the prize is some dvd player..not exactly a good brand though..my dad said that the brand actually almost died out already..and quite cheap..drank quite alot this time..couldnt walk very very straight..luckily there was great 'sister' Jeremy around who didnt drink and he sent me home..so sweet of him.. =) worked the entire week..like full everyday from tues morning..Saturday we had to stay back for spring cleaning coz HACCP coming up this week..think tmr..quite fun..except for the fact that some pple shld juz use their brains at times..we push all the tables to one side to wash the floor of coz u dont throw water at e table legs right??? goondo.. harj came..she didnt go malaysia with her frens..luckily she came..coz jac was feeling unwell and went home and another 2 staff pang seh us..grr..this time round floor washing was faster coz we manage to pluck the hose into the tap..haha..fun fun.. too tired the next day..overslept..went to work at 1pm and begged to go off at 5pm and not work night shift..went to visit grandpa..today's father's day!! had a mini buffet where each family cook up a dish..bro lost alot of money from mahjong..almost $20..wow..he already lost all his chips before we were even half a round..amazing.. argh..it's only 10am..2more hours of class..................

BACK!!
got back from China last night..
Friday 8/6/07 (Shang-rila) The weather here is pretty cold..it's abt 3degrees at night..in the day it was about 15degrees..along the bus ride we had a new tour guide..from 'Zhao' ethnic grp..she said the pple here age faster than pple at Kun Ming..she's 28 but she look like late 30s..due to the lack of oxygen up there..Shang-rila is 4000m above sea level!! She brought us to buy some medicine which we had to take and each person had to buy a can of oxygen just in case..we had to walk slowly coz if our heart pumped faster we would need more oxygen and we may feel dizzy..the tour guide also told us to try not to slp along the way coz we may not wake up..apparently there was a case of this japan guy..he flew in from japan to Shang-rila..so it was a big difference of altitude..he felt slpy on the bus and fell aslp and nvr waked up..gosh..
we had to eat this..suppose to help us adjust to the altitude..
the oxygen tank..lol..looks like insecticide huh.. however, we all felt slpy and we actually slept when we went to visit the forest of Shang-rila..the bus was so comfortable..our eyes were just so heavy..how can we not slp?? ever time the bus move we'll slp..den bus stop we'll get down and sighsee..haha.... my aunt couldnt take it though..she said she had a terrible headache..after awhile bro said he felt dizzy..so both of them had to take oxygen..felt better after that..

we didnt bathe..too cold..juz give a fast wash and den hide in our blankets..i tried using the oxygen tank..to me..like no diff actually..haha..coz maybe i didnt feel anything.. =)
we fell aslp damn fast..like 11pm..juz couldnt keep our eyes open for long..prob coz of the thin oxygen too..
Saturday 9/6/07 (Kunming)
Woke up super early to catch a plane down to Kunming..so..we spent less than 24 hours in Shang-rila..sads..
so happy to see our original tour guide..seriously, i think she's the best tour guide we ever had..even better than the tour guide we had for Taiwan..
first stop..lunch..after lunch we went to see silk..have seen silk at so many parts of china..nvr buy coz it's so ex..although i LOVE the texture of silk!! =)
this is so artistic..many child beggars around..scary.. 
how often do u get to see such long cars in sg?? next stop was even more interesting..we spent the remaining of the afternoon plucking forget-me-nots and peaches!! so fun..hee..experience wat is is like choosing good flowers and plucking and choosing peaches..

peaches peaches everwhere..lala.. mushrooms for dinner..supposed to be a speciality coz there were many types of mushroom..but seriously..i didnt find anything special..

that night..we went to KTV..oohh..i so miss my K Box!! their KTV is also known as night club..but this was so much than the day b4..the night club was really night club with a dance floor.but also have rooms where u can be private..but will be much messier than this place..this is really all rooms only..but the rooms..are SO beautiful..compared to our K Box..this looks 100 times better..and their system is much better too..their songs were quite updated..managed to get the hua yang songs as well..so fun!! we sang from 8pm-nearly 2am..of coz i didnt sing non-stop..aunts and uncles sang too..oohh..emu..when are u coming back??? i wanna go k box with u!!!!
Sunday 10/6/07
We woke up late..could be later but coz the breakfast ends at 9am so we had to get up around 8am..if not i think we could slp until 10am..get up and rush to the airport..haha...
after breakfast went to do some last min shopping at their large supermart..got some tidbits back..it's actually tidbits that could be found in here..but juz at a much cheaper price..anyways, we did minimal shopping so our luggage still had much space for our stuff..hehe..with all the heavy cartons of peaches..our combined luggage weight did not exceed..we stil had about 40kg to spare..wow..
We had swensons at T2 for dinner..gosh..5.45pm and there was a long queue..we had to queue for abt 20mins..the food is good..but think they lack of staff..service was pretty slow..i hafta lose weight!! i put on 2kg in China!! all that fatty meat and full full meals to keep warm and not get hungry quick..gosh..i need exercise!! =(

5th day of China - Lijiang
last night was screwed..i seriously felt like going back home..it started with and itch around 2am on my legs while i was slping..it got worse and worse..like a million ants were crawling all over me..it spread to the rest of my body..felt like i was being tortured to death..called mum from the other room..she was v sweet..she helped me apply the cream all over my body, ate the medicine that they gave (initially didnt eat coz we didnt trust as the medicine didnt have a name..) and den accompanied me till i slept..i was perfectly fine this morning.. =)
only found in china!! hairy cow (牦牛)!! haha..i have no idea how to translate..
e lack of slp really got to me..felt so lethargic e entire day..went to see some spirulina specialists (and i slept sitting down...gosh..)..den lunch..den to some ancient city..gosh..really got to me..i was practically falling aslp while walking..so many shops to shop but no mood to shop =(
divine tree..some guy climbed up and went to heaven.. had a nice break..we sat at some river side bar..had hot choc and i meat pizza..yum..and the total price is less than S$10!! wow.... while waiting for time to pass to go back to the bus..i actually slept while sitting on the steps..dead beat..

went to catch some cultural show at a theatre..not bad..all their outfits were very very nice..after the show, had quick dinner and back to the hotel..muz faster slp early..tmr muz get up at 6am to head to Shangrila...

4th day in China - Lijiang
tdy is a v eventful day for me...
morning went to visit the place where they filmed the famous movie Tian Long Ba Bu 天龙八部 some place b4 travelling towards Lijiang..  the main entrance..
where they put the prisoner.they almost took bro away as part of the script to match the drawing of the prisoner in the scroll.. stopped over at their "Bai" ethnic community for the 3tea ceremony and dance..bitter,sweet and the 3rd one to neutralise the taste..by lunch..the 'rash' that i've got had already spread to my entire body..scary..

long ride..almost abt 4hrs..there was a stop over half-way..no idea where we were either..i practically slept the entire ride..
sleeping helps..the rashes doesnt look like mosquito bites anymore..just flat but very very red and very very large areas..

went hospital after dinner..so inefficient..silly doc refused to see me..no idea y..he keep inisisting that skin problems shld go look for the other doc that does internal checking..madness..walking here and there..end up taking a cab to another hospital..yay..finally can see a doc..but..the scary thing..they said i muz be put on drip!!! WHAT???? aunt anna, who is a nurse and accompanied me and mum also got a big shock..siao ah..to us is such a small matter..not like i have a damn high fever or wat..asked to change to a jab..jabbed my butt..ouch..super slow jab..and according to my aunt they were quite unprofessional..anyway, my rashes really cleared for a short while..but..it seems like its back again..have been scratching every part of my body since i bathed..sobz... =(

3rd Day in China - Dali
now @ e hotel..5star..hee..very very nice and new..apparently it only opened only last July..
wore contacts tdy..totally no regrets..my sunglasses came into very very good use =) love it..e sun was blazing hot..1st stop was some famous medical place..they're famous for this cream that cured many pple during a Thai explosion a few yrs back..cant remember the name..haha..there was this part where there was free consultation but it was so obvious tha tthe doc didnt wanna see us kids cuz he juz glanced at us and did not bother abt us anymore..grr...waited super long......next stop was a crystal shop..bro n i didnt go coz we were bored to death..juz sat in the bus n played Bingo..
Next stop..peacock garden..the toilet..was infested with 100s of mosquitoes..GROSS..if that were singapore..i would have complained to NEA..DISGUSTING...... however, the peacocks were beautiful..managed to catch 5 peacocks showing off their beautifuls tails at once..lol..fighting for one female???

lunch was pretty interesting..it was their traditional step noodles..we were given a bowl of super hot water, a small plate of meat, veg and noodles..had to cook the meat, followed by the veg den the noodles..with no fire...juz that hot water..very interesting..reminded me of Pepper Lunch..but this step noodles taste not that fantastic..

super long bus ride..only had a toilet stop in the middle..1st half of the journey i slept e entire way..2nd half tour guide said it was game time..all the aunts and uncle sabo me..coz loser muz do forfeit..i end up singing 3 times!! =(
reached hotel around 6.30pm..had a quick dinner and went to shop at this place called ancient place 古城..thought could get something back for souvenir but everything didnt look at all interesting..ended up buying only a pair of earrings at 5RMB..doubt they'll last long anyway..

actually now i'm quite in a bad shape..think i've gotten some rashes..i've got this mosquite bite look alike thats from my neck all the way to my upper thighs.. *sigh* only my 3rd day here..wats happening???

2nd Day of China - Outskirts of Kunming
 there was this photographer.he gave us roses each..
out of the hotel by 7.30am..it was a 3hr bus ride to the Alu Gu Dong caves..very very fascinating..all the stalagmites and stalactites were very very beautiful..amzing things nature can do that the cave can form so many natural stuff..in total there were 4 caves, one of them a river cave..very very echoy and romantic.. =) lunch was pretty interesting..it was a restaurant with private rooms, like houses and pretty comfortable..it was like a living room in a house, eating table, sofa and a tv... After lunch with to Jiu Xiang 九乡..went to visit another cave...this cave was not as big as this..but very very spacious..the one we visited in the morning was very deep into the cave and was quite squeezy at places and very slippery..but the walking time was also very very long..lots of stairs and turning..oh..but there was this part we had to climb very high to see the princess top..that was terrible as well..super super squeezy and mum knocked her back on the cave..ouch..and..the last and final part...we had to climv a total of 336 steps..gosh..i think add together we climbed up and down over 1000 steps!! madness......think we'll all lose weight..haha..
tired....some pics.. due to the altitude.our potato chips was like a hard pillow..so scary..coz it looked like it may burst anytime.. the gap is so small! juz nice for teeny (thinny) bro to stand..

1st Day in China - Kunming (Yun Nan)
Got up at 5am today. only slept 3hrs. didnt wanna slp initially. luckily we booked a cab the night b4 if not we'll be damn late. we supposed to reach at 6.10am! amazingly, the airport was apcked with pple!! gosh.. at 6.15am in the morning??
went to SIA Raffles Lounge to have breakfast..mmm..their breakfast is actually quite nice..but due to the short time..we had to rush to board the plane..oh yeah..we went to Swatch and dad got me a new Swatch Skin watch to replace my old one..it's scratch at the face and apprently the warranty is over =( my bday present from Mum & Dad..
Silkair flight..had to take a bus out to the plane..it was bad..the smell of carbon monoxide was so bad from the airport to the bus..i swear if i stood there for 10mins i would have fainted of carbon monoxide..slept the entire light except during take-off, meal time and when the plane already landed... 1st hic-cup of the trip..grandpa couldn't find his luggage!! we spent abt 20min and luckily some guy from another tour grp realised that he took the wrong bag and came to return..
when we walked out of the airport, we were greeted by so many child beggars..seriously, the sight kinda scares me..using children to beg.. *shivers*
had lunch..not as bad as expected.. thought it would be oily and salty but it turned out quite well =)

visited a temple, a park and drank tea..hmm..Kunming has many many beautiful flowers everywhere..different from the main cities like Shanghai..however, roads are still typical China..
